           The contract for the current Air Port  has been finalized as of October 11th, and the construction contract for the first phase of Construction for the new Air Port has been awarded to a the local construction company Phoenix Construction; we are looking forward to a ground breaking ceremony in the coming weeks. Bay County will certainly feel the ripple effect with the $100,000,000+ contract being awarded to a local company that will use local equipment, local workers, local drivers, local gas stations, eat at local restaurants and shop at local stores.
